Japan, A Memorable Experience

I am currently part of a teaching research program and I am so thankful to God and Japan for this amazing opportunity. I knew this will be a great challenge especially because of the language, but since the beginning university staff, professors, students and even people outside the university have been so sweet to help me through every step during my stay in Japan.

University staff guided me with all the procedures to come to Japan during covid restrictions and everyone at the university has always been so nice and attentive to assist me in any circumstance. I have enjoyed every single class at the university, all of them so unique and interesting and especially I admire the passion, commitment and expertise of all professors at the university, this is something that has inspired me to be a better teacher. I have enjoyed taking some classes that I have never taken in my life like pottery, learning to write my name in Braille in especial education, playing with Koma for children's traditional games at school, learning about Japanese students' creative projects at technical education, playing the drums and Koto, among many others; all these gave me a glance of the diversity in education in Japan.

Moreover, living at the international house with fellows and students from different countries has been an excellent opportunity to share and learn about our cultures, countries and our particular essence which made a really interesting and rich environment of cooperation and friendship. I really thank all students at the international house because they made me feel at home and part of a big diverse family. Furthermore, I have the opportunity to live all these wonderful experiences in Japan with my husband and daughter, who are also amazed by the culture, nature, food, architecture of temples, shrines and castles and particularly for the kindness of its people.

Among all things I have learnt and mentioned so far from these memorable and remarkable experiences, I can highlight the knowledge gained from English vocabulary teaching and learning research which will contribute to my teaching practices, students learning and our English teaching department at the school. Besides, I want to share all what I learnt from Japan with my students, coworkers and family so that they can also have Japan in their hearts.

　私は現在、教育研究プログラムに参加しています。参加できてとてもうれしく思うとともに、このような素晴らしい機会を与えてくれた日本にとても感謝しています。言語の壁によって、このプラグラムはとても困難なものになると思っていましたが、365体育投注_365体育网址職員、教授、学生、そして外部の人たちでさえも、日本滞在中のあらゆる側面で親切にサポートしてくれました。

　365体育投注_365体育网址職員の方々は、コロナ禍の厳しい制限の中で、日本に来るためのあらゆる手続きを案内してくれました。また、365体育投注_365体育网址のすべての人が、いかなる状況でも私を助けようと、親切な対応や、気配りをしてくれました。365体育投注_365体育网址の様々な授業を楽しんできましたが、それらはすべてとてもユニークで興味深いものであり、特に365体育投注_365体育网址の教授の情熱、献身、専門知識に感心しました。これは私がより良い教師になるための刺激になりました。陶芸の授業、特別支援教育の授業における点字での名前の書き方の学習、日本の伝統的な遊びであるコマの体験、技術教育での日本人学生の創造的なプロジェクトに触れたこと、太鼓や琴の演奏等、これまでの人生で決して体験することのなかった授業を経験することはとても楽しかったです。このような経験から、日本の教育の多様性を垣間見ることができました。

　さらに、さまざまな国からの留学生や日本の学生と一緒に国際交流会館で暮らすことは、文化、国、そして協力関係や友情関係といった、本当に興味深く豊かな人間関係を形成する人間の本質について共有し、学ぶためのとても良い機会となりました。私は、多様な家族の一員になったかのように感じるほど、アットホームにむかえてくれた、国際交流会館のすべての学生に心から感謝しています。さらに、私は夫や娘と一緒に上に挙げたような日本での素晴らしい経験をする機会がありました。彼らは、文化、自然、食べ物、寺社や城の建築、そして特に日本の人たちの優しさに驚いていました。

　これらの印象的で素晴らしい経験から学んだことや、述べてきたことの中で、特に英単語の指導法や学習理論の研究から得た知識は、私の指導実践や生徒の学習、そして学校の英語教育科に貢献するものだと思います。加えて、日本で学んだことを生徒や同僚、家族と共有し、彼らの心の中にも日本が残るようにしたいと思います。
